Nobel Fire Systems Marine Fire Approval
Nobel Galley System awarded Marine Approval BS ISO 15371:2009
Nobel Fire Systems has been awarded Marine Approval BS ISO 15371:2009, on its K-Series range of galley fire suppression systems, by the ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation).
This International Standard applies to the design, testing, and operation of fire extinguishing systems to protect the galley hoods, ducts, fryers and other grease-laden galley appliances.
Fire aboard ships caused by galley extract ducts and appliances remains a constant threat but Nobel’s K-series galley fire suppression system is a world leader and offers ship owners, managers, operators and designers an economical and efficient means of protection.
The Nobel K-Series system is the only electrical system on the market and employs leading edge gas generator technology to ensure superior performance and operational safety.
Ben Parker, Nobel’s Commercial Director commented;
“The K-Series galley system is designed to meet both aesthetics and operational performance criteria. It provides significant benefits over mechanical systems and we are naturally delighted to have attained BS ISO 15371:2009 certification which serves to underline its overall market leading capabilities”.
The award of BS ISO 15371:2009 ensures that all strict SOLAS regulations continue to be met and Nobel Fire Systems has an international distribution network in place to support global design, installation and supply of its K-Series system.
