Nobel Fire Systems chosen to protect Derby College kitchens

Commissioned by Catering Projects Limited, Nobel Fire Systems has installed five of its K-Series fire suppression system in three kitchen areas of Derby College.
Created in March 2002, Derby College has grown to become one of the country’s premier education providers with a vibrant campus atmosphere providing facilities for more than 20,000 full and part time students.
In the bustling, energetic environment of the college’s kitchens, fire prevention and protection is always high on the list of requirements. For that reason, Catering Projects turned to Nobel to provide and install the fire suppression equipment having worked with the company on previous occasions.
A spokesperson for Catering Projects commented; “The unique risks inherent in busy  kitchens that cater for large numbers of people are more than taken care of by the Nobel K-Series system. We know from the experience of working with the company in the past that protection is to the highest possible standards and that systems can be installed with appreciable savings in both time and cost”.
The system fitted across the Derby College kitchens is Nobel Fire System’s K-Series, one of the UK’s premier wet chemical fire suppression systems. The K-Series provides the college with full protection to all cooking appliances, extract canopies and duct work.
Ben Parker, Commercial Director of Nobel Fire Systems added, “Our systems are now in many of the UK’s and European leading commercial kitchens and this helps provide credibility regarding our ability to provide the right fire suppression answers to the most challenging situations. Derby College is one of many such educational establishments where our systems have been installed in the catering kitchens used in the college’s catering courses and those that also service the campus canteens”.
