Citizen Machinery
Nobel’s Stat-X as Standard to all Machines
Citizen Machinery is a machine tool specialist supplying the latest CNC turning technology to UK industry. Once installed, the CNC sliding head lathes operate at very high speeds – often for 24 hours, 7 days a week. The risk of fire is a real and constant threat and one that Citizen regards as a key responsibility and duty of care to all customers.
The company therefore chose to replace its previous fire suppression systems on its range of lathes and now fits Nobel’s Stat-X as standard to all machines so that customers have all the fire safety reassurances they need.
The Stat-X family of fire suppression systems is a patented potassium based aerosol that instantly suppresses fire by chemically ‘interfering’ with the free radicals of the flame providing rapid fire suppression and extended post fire security against re-ignition.
Stat-X systems are very cost-effective to install and maintain. They require no pressure vessels, piping or nozzles and space and weight requirements are minimal. In the case of Citizen, this makes the task of fitting the system an easy and viable option while at the same time providing them with a system that’s ecologically safe with zero ozone depletion or global warming potential.
