Nobel hosts PVStop seminar with Cleveland Fire Brigade
We are excited to be working with Cleveland Fire Brigade to host a seminar to introduce our brand new product, PVStop, to the fire and solar energy market.
The PVStop seminar will take place on Thursday 13th September (2018) 9am – 3.20pm at Cleveland Fire Brigade Headquarters in Hartlepool.
Nobel Fire System’s Managing Director Ian Bartle will be joined by Jim Foran, Director of PVStop International, as well as Gary Taylor, Managing Director of GST Tec who design and develop new innovative firefighting equipment, and George Mahoney, Watch Manager at London Fire Brigade, who has been in charge of the brigade’s trial of PVStop.
The seminar will look at the risks that Solar Photo-voltaic (solar power) energy generation presents. Firefighters attending incidents involving solar panel fires are exposed to the potential of a lethal DC current, not only during the incident but also during post-incident management. The evolving of centralised power generation means over 1.5 million domestic, commercial and solar farm installations are currently in existence with thousands more in build or planning stages. The instance of solar panels being involved in or near a fire incident is growing daily and affects the safety of every firefighter. The seminar aims to provide a detailed understanding of the risks, the responsibilities, the precautionary measures available and the only method of making Solar PV installations safe.
PVStop is a patented fire retardant solution that acts as a liquid blanket to make solar panels safe and is the only product on the market that makes solar energy safe.
