Hull University, solvent store
Nobel protects solvent store at Hull University.
Nobel Fire Systems has installed a new CO2 fire suppression system in a solvent store at Hull University.
Working closely on the project with partners Professional Fire Solutions, Nobel initially carried out a complete risk assessment of the room and its surroundings. This included taking into consideration potential effects on the environment, all types of physical constraints, building structure and location, practicality and economic considerations.
After all calculations had been checked and verified, the aging existing fire suppression was removed and replaced by 14 x 50Kg CO2 cylinders by one of Nobel’s in-house team of engineers.
The system was installed quickly and with no problems to the required standards. It now provides a safe and secure solvent store and meets the exact needs of the university.
