Endress + Hauser protected by Nobel Fire Systems
Nobel’s K-Series fire suppression system remain at the heart of the fire protection solution in the Endress + Hauser’s catering kitchen at its Manchester base. This thriving, manufacturing, sales and service organisation employs a workforce of around 200 people, many of whom rely on the on-site catering facility offered by the company.
The K-5 and K-15 kitchen systems were installed by Nobel’s installation team a number of years ago following a dedicated risk based analysis which was also carried out by Nobel. Since then, and to ensure the operational integrity of the systems remains 100% effective, regular maintenance and servicing is carried out by Nobel’s service engineers.
The work is usually undertaken ‘out of hours’, minimising any potential down time for the busy kitchen and is part of Nobel’s pledge to provide end-to-end customer service on a 24/7 basis.
Ben Parker, Commercial Director of Nobel Fire Systems commented
“As many of our customers have found over the years, regular maintenance and servicing of a system will enhance its life cycle which in turn saves money and ensures uninterrupted protection against the danger of fire”
Nobel Fire System’s provide service & maintenance agreements tailored to meet the specific needs of customers. This can be for single sites or multi-sites across the country.
The K-Series kitchen system as installed at Endress + Hauser affords full protection to all cooking appliances, extract canopy and ductwork. In addition, it has the ability to extend the protection to prevent fire spreading through the ductwork to adjacent or adjoining areas.
Each system is installed in stainless steel to enhance the working life and endurance of the product. The electrical nature of the system means that unlike other ‘mechanical’ systems, K-Series ensures that all circuits can be fully monitored for fault conditions providing end users with total confidence in the operational integrity of the system.
