Nobel’s Good Looks Win Dhillon Group Approval
Dhillon, the independent hotel group, has appointed Nobel Fire Systems to design and install fire suppression systems in two of its properties. The Olde Bell near Slough and Stoke Place in Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire have been fitted with Nobel’s market leading ‘K-Series’ system.
In addition, Nobel fitted the K-Series in the Olde Bell’s ‘Malthouse’ kitchen, a separate catering facility that serves the conference area at the hotel. Similarly, at Stoke Place, a K-Series system has been installed in their satellite kitchen which is exclusively set up to cater for conferences, weddings and other large scale functions.
As part of the design and installation programme, Nobel fitted gas emergency stop valves in the main kitchens at both hotels in order to fully conform to current gas regulations. The K-Series system installed by Nobel Fire Systems is the only system that is able to meet the aesthetic, functional and complete safety remit given by discerning hotel and restaurant owners.
Nobel’s ‘K-Series’ fire protection systems are engineered to meet the specific individual requirements of the kitchen being protected. The systems are electronically controlled with no mechanical moving parts. In addition to this, ‘K-Series’ is the only system on the market that takes into consideration the risk beyond the entrance to the duct. Only the ‘K-Series’ provides fire risk cover from the last nozzle at the extract plenum downstream along the entire length of the ductwork to the extract fan and/or point of extract to the external environment.
Ben Parker, Commercial Director of Nobel Fire Systems commented,
“The Dhillon Group is a dynamic operation, staying faithful to the brands it’s created while also remaining innovative and offering a bespoke service to its customers. That’s a description that also perfectly fits Nobel. We also believe that early fire detection and fast, effective suppression saves lives, plant and property. That’s why we offer a range of services from risk-based analysis, consultation and design, through to final installation. We all know that in the catering industry none of us can afford to be complacent when it comes to fire risk and safety issues because of the potentially devastating consequences”.
