Nobel K-Series was the Most Suitable System to be Fitted
Nobel Fire Systems has installed its K-Series fire suppression systems in a number of Amazon’s UK warehouses in England and Scotland. The systems have been fitted in the staff restaurant kitchens.
There can be few applications where the reliable operation of the fire protection installation is more critical than in the warehouses of this global leader in e-commerce with its $billion turnover.
Working with their insurers Amazon decided the Nobel K-Series was the most suitable system to be fitted, particularly due to its unique ability to be fully extended throughout the ductwork. Additionally the installs could be managed from start to finish by Nobel, ensuring control of quality and costs, with all aspects kept in-house from design through to installation and maintenance.
The extended ductwork protection was a particular concern for the insurer, Allianz, and on one site posed interesting challenges as it extended 6m vertically and installation was completed using a cherry picker in order to reach the extreme points. Despite the complexity of the ductwork protection, installation was still completed within a week with our project team liaising directly to fit in with the schedule of the site facility manager at Amazon.
