Innovative ATM Protection System wins major award

A product designed specifically to protect ATMs and known as the GP-X gas attack protection system, has taken the honours for Combined Security and Fire Solution of the Year at the 2015 IFSEC Security Excellence Awards.

Nobel Fire Systems, a company with a specific focus on fire suppression technologies and proven solutions for special risk environments together with its partner the Safe & Vault Company, who have an established history in designing, testing and manufacturing ATM security and asset protection products, have combined their respective talents to produce the innovative GP-X system which is now being rolled out to major high street banks.

The winning ATM protection product has already foiled two explosive gas attacks with no collateral damage to the bank’s buildings ensuring that the branches were able to open for business as usual the following morning.

Nobel and S&V initially worked closely together to successfully complete exhaustive field explosive and fire protection testing and by combining the knowledge and skills of the two businesses were able to develop and deliver the perfect solution to what was becoming a real problem for banks across the UK.

Ian Bartle, Managing Director of Nobel Fire Systems commented,
“It has been a great team effort from our Industry experts with unique knowledge combined into one Award-winning solution.”

The Safe & Vault Company Directors Saul Danby and Anthony Shaun Walker added,
“We are very proud of this achievement and the whole Safe and Vault Company team, our fire partners Nobel Fire Systems and our security partners Gunnebo UK for making the GP-X the very best system available for protecting ATMs.”
