That is why Nobel has partnered with the manufacturer of PVstop to offer distribution of this ground-breaking safety product aimed squarely at a specific and potentially deadly risk, the only globally recognised patented method of guaranteeing solar panels are made safe.
There are over 1 million Photovoltaic (PV) solar panels in the UK alone and their use is expanding rapidly as cost and availability makes the technology more accessible. However, with that increase in number a corresponding increase in safety incidents occurs. Those incidents can be a fire in the PV system itself or a PV system becoming involved in a fire through association or just through the need for maintenance to be carried out in complete safety.
Whilst solar panels are exposed to light they can never be stopped from producing lethal amounts of DC current.
The only way of rendering a PV Solar system totally safe is to completely eradicate the light source in a fashion that can be guaranteed not to become dislodged or compromised.
Shut off devices in the circuit may be available, but access to and reliability of these means it is critical a reactive solution is on hand to ensure the PV solar panel is completely safe.
PVStop is a fire retardant solution that acts as a liquid blanket to make solar panels safe. The primary function of PVStop is to render panels to be electrically safe while acting as a fire retardant solution.
Where the electricity generated by the solar panel installation is connected to the grid or is stored in localised batteries, in particular lithium ion, Nobel is also able to offer the installation of Stat-X, a fire suppression system independently tested and proven to tackle this type of specialised fire risk.
